CEO, Liberty Resources

Chris Wright is CEO of Liberty Resources, a Bakken-focused E&P company with unique expertise in well completion and stimulation technologies and CEO of Liberty Oilfield Services, LLC, an oilfield service company specializing in hydraulic fracturing with operations in North Dakota, Colorado and Wyoming.

Chris completed an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at MIT and then performed graduate work in Electrical Engineering at both UC Berkeley and MIT. Chris founded Pinnacle Technologies and for 14 years served as CEO and Chairman. Pinnacle created the hydraulic fracture mapping industry via its success in developing and commercializing tiltmeter fracture mapping and microseismic fracture mapping. Pinnacle also sold and developed the world's most widely used fracture modeling system, FracproPT, and provided consulting services. Pinnacle's most significant achievement was its lead role in the innovation of fracturing practices that led to commercialization of shale gas production -- initially the Barnett Shale with Mitchell Energy.

Chris has consulted and taught courses on all six inhabited continents and authored or co-authored over 60 technical papers and articles. He has received numerous industry awards and several U.S. patents. Chris was Chairman of Stroud Energy prior to its sale to Range Resources in 2006.
